UK’s TV Choice Interviews Dylan and Cole Sprouse!!

The twins seem to have been around for years. Cole played Ross’ son Ben in Friends, and the pair of them have appeared in many films and TV series. But it’s since playing Zack and Cody Martin in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (and its various spin-offs), which they’ve been doing since 2005, that they really hit the big time.

Now 18, they’re in London for the first time – and it’s because of this trip that I’ve re-organised my morning to head to London’s Cochrane Theatre, where they were waiting to speak to me.

Upon arrival, it was clear that word had got out about the boys being in town, as a small crowd of fans were already outside the theatre. And that crowd was set to increase with more fans and students from CTA – the Celebrity Talent Agency – who were sponsoring the event, alongside executive producer, George Caceres, the founder of CTA (pictured above with Dylan and Cole Sprouse). It was all in aid of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, a charity that brightens the lives of sick children across the UK, some of whom had also started arriving. And Dylan and Cole were set to teach a two-hour Master Workshop and take part in a Q&A session.

After chatting to the photographers alongside the red carpet, and being their test model as they adjusted their cameras, Dylan and Cole were brought out to have photographs taken with some of the Starlight children and also the CTA students. Then it was my turn for a chat, and I could feel the eyes of every child still waiting to get in, watching me as I took my place next to the Disney favourites.

‘We came to London specifically for this event – and a little bit of relaxation as well,’ Dylan told me. ‘We’ve worked with Starlight before and are always happy to help.’

So what will they be doing with the children today?

‘Making fools of ourselves!’

‘It’s great to travel and help some kids out at the same time,’ added Cole. ‘We don’t really know exactly what we’ll be doing yet today. So hopefully it’s a lot of ad-libbing and improvised stuff. As long as we don’t throw up on stage, it’s all fantastic.’

Before letting them begin their workshop, I was also introduced to George Caceres, the owner of CTA. George explained that he’s been involved with the school world for over 10 years and even owns a rock school in Vancouver, a film school in America, and is producing Rockstar Academy for Canadian TV. With many other projects in the pipeline, he was delighted to open a school in the UK and has plans to expand his brand over here.

‘We bring Disney stars and West End stars to events to motivate and inspire the kids,’ explained George. ‘I’ve noticed that when kids have intimate contact with an actor, it gives them that motiviation and inspiration to do things themselves.

‘And it’s great to bring Dylan and Cole Sprouse over to run a workshop like this.’
